FABRIC CONSTRUCTION

Barkha

The joyous monsoon days are one cherished childhood memory that remains close to my heart. Those were the times when a group of close friends and I would eagerly descend downstairs and run between the buildings as the cold drops would drench us. Even as an adult, my affinity for water remains unwavering,  and this project is my attempt to capture the beauty of glistening water beads, translating that feeling into my creative work.

The brief of this project was to draw inspiration from a favorite childhood memory and transform and translate it into textile surfaces exploring different techniques, materials, colors, and forms.
The process began by extracting key elements from the inspiration board, along with, crafting stripe rhythms with the color palette, to establish visual patterns and harmonies.
